I utilized this 4 TB drive to capture 4K 60p log footage from the iPhone 15 Pro 128 GB model and edit the video on the same drive using iMovie. I utilized the included short USB-C to USB-C cable. No dropped frames were observed in the final movie rendering of the five minute movie. The drive is super light in weight. As a result, it can hang off of the iPhone when using the short cable without worrying about stressing the USB-C connector. The drive and cable easily fit in a pocket. I also tried capturing video to a Crucial X8 1 TB drive. I utilized a USB-C cable that was rated for 10 Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 2). Some dropped frames were observed when recording footage to that drive for 4K 30P log footage. The X9 also comes with a little hole in the corner which can be used with a lanyard for example.
