Where can I find dehydrated spinach flakes to add to some of my recipes?

  • 0

Bought a can a few months ago and just opened it couple days ago because they had it at a very good price now ($12.10) and I wanted to make sure it was good before buying any more. I just bought 3 more cans today.
Its quite good, can was pretty full about 1″ from the top, took 3 pinches and put into a 1/2 cup of water with a pinch of salt and put in microwave for 90 seconds and viola perfectly good chopped spinach perfectly re-hydrated instantly, so will work fine in soups, in rice, in Lasagna and I just added the re-hydrated in microwave to my egg white omelette past couple days.
There is a spicy sweet potato peanut African stew that uses lots of spinach this would be great for also.
Overall especially for $12 and a 25 year shelf life I have no complaints.
I will be opening these cans pretty regularly though as this is going to be my go to for spinach because its so easy and always there not going bad. I am going to add a handful in my rice tonight for a stir fry..
Regular fresh spinach is like $2.50 for a small little bundle, theres easily $12 of spinach in this can.
