This stuff is great. I don’t know if I’ve ever left a review on Amazon, but I felt like I had to for this product. I had a bottle of devacurl cream for ages that just ran out and didn’t want to risk buying the new version with all the reports of hair loss and damage I’ve seen. I loved how it worked, it was perfect for my hair, so I was bummed that I had to find a new product. When I heard about this dupe, I gave it a shot, and to my surprise, it works BETTER! And it’s cheaper! That’s a win win.

It’s super hydrating, while giving just the right amount of hold for my 2b waves. I don’t use any other product other than this, bc I don’t like the crunch of gel. Just apply to my soaking wet hair in the shower, scrunch, plop for like 10 min, then let air dry! No frizz at all – which normally with devacurl I had a little bit of frizz. So that’s great. It also refreshes so well the next day. My hair is still soft and slightly wavy in the morning, I just spritz with water, apply a little bit of the cream emulsified and scrunch, and my waves / curls are back in full force, again, with less frizz than devacurl! Super happy with this switch.
