This fire pit is big, heavy-duty, and easy to assemble. The metal seemed a little thin but it was not an issue and held up well during use.  The design is perfect with a deep pit and a nice guard rail around the edge. There are little vent slits around the sides to allow oxygen in. It’s not difficult to get this puppy going. A fire mat might be helpful. We put ours right on the grass and that grass is no more. We put it up on bricks the second time but I’m not sure if that made a difference. The metal also rusts very easily, but I feel it adds to the aesthetic. I’m not worried about it unless it completely disintegrates.
