Catch all this little particles of food in your sink when you rinse or wash dishes. No installation other than to drop them in the drain. When I drain my wash water, I pull the stopper (a separate piece of hardware) and quickly put this screen in place. Works like a charm and keeps the drains in my 100+ year old house working like a champ.
