How can I keep my cars tires from getting stuck in snow and ice this year?

  • 0

These chains are EASY to install- and this is coming from a 21 yr old with no experience installing chains before. I have them on my 2010 Mazda CX-7 (FWD) and it took me about ten minutes to install both of these the first time I put them on- WATCH THE VIDEO!! The video on the listing is only about three minutes long an very helpful. My one tip is to make sure that the thicker metal pieces (don’t know what to call them, the six in the photo) are evenly overlapping the tire before tightening the tension. I did go back and adjust after taking the photo so it is more even now. The rubber tensioner does require a bit of umph, so if you are not particularly strong or lack grip strength, I would recommend having someone help you with this. I drove on snow, ice and plowed roads and they did great. Just drive with common sense when using chains. Start slow, stop early and leave plenty of room and you’ll be golden.
