This was my first foray into the “popsocket” trend. I always found these and similar products a bit goofy, but since getting an S22 Ultra with an included S Pen, I thought that the extra grip offered by the PopSocket would make it a bit easier to write notes in the rare circumstances that I actually use that functionality on my phone.

Much to my surprise, I actually like this thing. The product itself feels well made despite it’s all-plastic body. The “popping” action works well and feels nice, and the mount to the actual “base” that is attached to the phone feels solid. I’m using this on a S22 Ultra with a TORRAS MarsClimber case, and the base with included adhesive is firmly attached. I was actually able to remove the base and reattach it – I didn’t quite get the positioning right on the first go – and I haven’t had any issues with the adhesive.
