Holy crap, where has this gem been hiding!? I was soooo hesitant to buy it, but with over 60k reviews giving it 4.5, i did and I am so glad I did! Our cat accidentally got locked in my bedroom one night. Woke up and about died from the smell! I have a VERY sensitive nose (smell things noone else seems to), but even my boyfriend was gagging. I literally couldn’t be in the room for a full minute without eyes, nose, and lungs burning. I opened the room windows, closed the room off, packed towels along the bottom of the door, and set a bucket of bleach outside in the hall. But it was so strong that even with all that, we could still smell it in the rest of the apartment. (What the hell did my cat drink!? Lol) I sprinkled some baking soda over the entire floor to find out where the wet spot actually was, and found it in my closet. So I read review after review after review of this product. I was concerned about the overpowering smell quite a few people complained of, but I don’t know what they were talking about. Maybe they changed the formula or something, but it is a very faint hint of orange, and definitely not overpowering. I mixed it (didn’t measure, but it was roughly close to directions) and applied it and left for work. I soaked the area so that it would go down into the padding and sprayed about 6 inches outside of the wet spot. Yes, I wanted the smell GONE! The whole 3 hours I was with my client, I was dying to get home and see if it worked. Holy cow, did it!!! Three hours after application there was a very very slight hint of ammonia still, but I figured I’d wait until it dried before I judged. The next morning when I woke up (slept in daughter’s room and on couch ><), I immediately went in the room and couldn’t smell ANYTHING!!! God bless you, angry orange (and amazon 1 day shipping)! I will sing the praises of this product to anyone who asks. And really, the price is decent, as well. I actually got down and put my nose to the carpet, and still didn’t smell anything (except very light remaining orange scent). This was just one application. If you are hesitant, don’t be. Just buy it and see! I wouldn’t know about staining or anything like that bc we have a dark brown carpet, but for odor elimination, I will never look elsewhere again. (Although, let’s pray I don’t need it again. Lol)
