I did a lot of research prior to purchasing saddle floats. I wanted to make sure they were comfortable and durable. The smooth , shiny plastic ones tore easily for us. These are comfortable to sit on without chafing or discomfort. The coating seems to be much more durable. I am very happy with these and would buy again.
