I have a very solid, old, two step ladder, but moved from a house with 8 foot ceilings to one with 9 foot ceilings, and just needed a little bit more height. I didn’t want anything heavier than what I had, and I’m a fairly big guy, so wanted something that could easily support my weight. This three step ladder folds up tighter than the two step ladder (width-wise, although it’s taller, obviously); it’s lightweight, easy to move around the house, and gets me up where I need to get to at ceiling level with sturdy support. Pleasantly surprised, and can definitely recommend.
