I got this mask because I had a partial retinal detachment a couple years ago. I was told by my doctor that if I was to continue to play baseball I needed to protect my eyes as I could be blinded if I got a ball off the orbital bone…Because I play infield mostly, this mask gives me the confidence to keep playing. It is very light, the padding is comfortable, and my vision is not hindered at all.
