The case is hard and lightweight which makes it easy to store and protect the zip snip cutter. I can carry the case either in my hand or slip it in my purse. I ordered an extra set of blades, just in case. This helps open those pesky security sealed dangerous to open plastic packages. This is a very worth while tool to have in ones tool box.
