Just straight off the bat: if you don’t like memory foam, especially the really firm style, this may not be your pillow.
Background: I travel by car frequently for work, and end up parking in spots to open my laptop or look at my work phone, which strains my neck. To complicate things further, I have double curvature scoliosis, so all my muscles are just naturally out of order.
I got this pillow as a last resort. I couldn’t sleep at nights even with a mountain of pillows. I’m also a side sleeper which makes finding that right ratio of support to comfort tough. It was to the point where the lack of sleep was affecting my driving skills, focus, and attitude. I pulled this pillow out, put it in a pillow case after it aired out to puff itself up, and tried it the same night. I’m shocked. It actually worked. It made so much of a difference, I could actually feel the difference in my quality of life. I now look forward to going to bed, when I used to dread the upcoming struggle with the pillows. Even my fiancé noticed that his snoring improved a little bit with the new pillow.
Overall, this is a fantastic option for folks who side sleep or stomach sleep (I do more side sleeping but will occasionally flop to my stomach). It also works great if you sleep on your back. Give it a shot! It’s worth it!
