My original Mueller had an older blade design and I decided to replace it. I tried two other brands that were fairly inexpensive and I donated them to goodwill. They were awful. The Mueller is sturdy and I use it almost daily. The new way the blades snap in is much safer. Food does get trapped in the top grid but now it comes with a comb that gets the food out easily. The blades have great holding trays and it great that it comes with a slicer and grater. So much easier than my box grater. Don’t waste your money on any other brand!
