My dog has arthritis and keeps jumping on and off the couch then suffering in pain afterwards. I bought these stairs for the couch. Did not put the hard wood pieces that came with the stairs inside. He seemed to do fine with the softness of the stairs. No more pain after getting up and off the couch since using the stairs every time. Perfect height for my couch….
