The most annoying thing about dog gates is the bulkiness of them and the space they take up when you don’t necessarily need them up. I use this to keep my counter surfing dog out of the kitchen. When I don’t need it, it’s completely out of sight. I wouldn’t recommend this as a baby gate. But for my purpose it’s there when I need it and gone when I don’t. I ordered an additional one to replace a clunky gate on our stairs as well
