Not knowing what to expect, I was hoping it would scent my home. I assumed it needed water to heat and the steam would be the scent. I was surprised that it atomizes the water and a cool mist comes from it without any wet residue left around. It smells GREAT (I especially like the Rose scent). It also provides a nice calming light display. Better than I expected.
