What is the best body scrub for Keratosis Pilaris?

  • 0

For years, I have dealt with “chicken skin” on my upper arms. Not knowing what the skin condition was, I have tried many different products that claim to smooth bumpy skin. About a year ago, a nurse friend of mine told me it looked like Keratosis pilaris so I did some research on how to treat it. I found that scrubs and lotions containing lactic acid were good for this condition so I figured I’d give it a try. What was there to lose after all these years.

I searched on Amazon and this exfoliating scrub came up so I decided to give it a try, partnered with a lactic acid lotion. After using this scrub once, I noticed a difference in the bumps on my arms. Within a week, my arms began to feel smoother, although the redness remained. After about a month of daily use, the bumps and redness were entirely gone. I was very impressed.

Then I ran out of the scrub and decided to just go with the lotion to see what would happen. Within a month, the bumps were back so I purchased more of the scrub. I began the daily routine of using the scrub and lotion together and once again, the bumps and redness began to fade away. Now I make sure to always have a backup tube ready and as soon as I need to open it, I order another to be sure I never run out again.

Thank you for helping clear my “chicken skin” after nearly 15 years.
