When trying to add a second graphics card to my Gaming PC I almost thought that I was going to need to buy a whole new computer to accommodate a second PCIE x16 slot. Then I though how are mining farms setup? Those GPUs are not set up directly on the motherboard. This pointed me to a PCIE riser card.

This riser card was easy to setup and install. I was able to mount the card in the PC case below the motherboard and plug it into the PCIE x1 slot. This solution was very affordable saving me hundreds from buying a new computer. I’m glad this was such cost effective fix.
